We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Christopher Poole-Johnson has joined the Advisory Board of Docenti Global Business School. A distinguished international educator and academic leader, Prof. Poole-Johnson currently serves as Chairman of WEDC Vietnam and Rector of BOU Vietnam.
Prof. Dr. Christopher Poole-Johnson is a distinguished international educator, academic administrator, and institutional leader whose career spans higher education, international program development, and cross-cultural academic collaboration. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Windsor-Essex Education & Development Co. Ltd (WEDC Vietnam) and Rector of BOU Vietnam, where he provides strategic direction and academic oversight for transnational education initiatives. His leadership has been central to WEDC’s mission of enhancing global learning standards, fostering partnerships with international institutions, and promoting innovative education models in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
With more than two decades of experience in academia and educational management, Prof. Poole-Johnson has contributed significantly to the growth of international higher education networks. Before joining WEDC, he served as Academic Director at Saigon International College, overseeing the Australian Certificate of Education curriculum and ensuring quality delivery in partnership with Australian institutions. He also played a key academic role as Head of Program for the Curtin University Bachelor of Commerce degree in Indonesia, managing curriculum development and academic standards for undergraduate business programs.
His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Graduate Diploma, Master of Arts, CELTA, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), with research affiliations at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University. These qualifications, combined with his practical leadership experience, underpin his deep understanding of both academic rigor and institutional governance.
At Nam Uc Scotch AGS, where he serves as Deputy Principal, Prof. Poole-Johnson contributes to leadership development, faculty coordination, and stakeholder engagement in the international school sector. His dual engagement in both K–12 and higher education allows him to bridge the continuum of learning and apply global best practices to educational management.
As an educational visionary, Prof. Poole-Johnson has championed partnerships that expand access to quality education. Under his leadership, WEDC has pursued strategic collaborations such as the WEDC–ANIBT Memorandum of Agreement, which enhances vocational and hospitality training opportunities for Vietnamese students. His efforts focus on aligning local education systems with global standards and promoting employability through competency-based learning.
Prof. Poole-Johnson’s career reflects a consistent dedication to academic excellence, cross-cultural collaboration, and leadership in education reform.
